Q: What kind and what size of photo(s) should I provide?

A: Although we prefer that the size be at least 4"x5" and in good quality, we are willing to work with all photos. Customers can send color or black and white prints, slides, transparencies and/or negatives. For more details, please check photo request.

Q: Is it possible to incorporate people from different photos into one painting?

A: Yes, Liang Wei specialize in customizing portraits and there is no additional charge. See sample.

Q: May the style or color of a subject's clothes be changed to something more desirable for an oil painting?

A: Yes, Liang Wei is here to customize your order. He can change the background color and even make changes to the color of the subject's hair or clothing (at no additional cost). For price detail, see price list.

Q: Tell me more about the finished portraits.

A: All portraits are done in oil and painted on canvas by Liang Wei. See samples in View Gallery.

Q: Will the photos be returned to me?

A: Yes, all photos will be returned to the customer along with the completed portrait. However, Please do not send valuable photograph(s) for we cannot be held responsible for accidental loss or damage in the mail. Feel free to send high quality color copies through the mail or scan valuable photographs and send by e-mail.

Q: Can I select a portrait size that isn't listed in the order or price page?

A: You can select a closest size from the drop down list on the order form, or from the price list, to get a quotation price. Then, just fill in your size in the description field. For special custom sizes please call us at 1-888-829-2458 we will need to negotiate.

Q: Can I have more than five people in the portrait?

A: Yes, you can have more people in the same picture, however, more than five will normally require some negotiation. Remember: More people need more space. A general rule is that a portrait head should be the same size, or bigger, than your fist. However, Liang Wei always try to accommodate the customer's wishes.

Q: Can I add my pet in the painting?

A: Yes, you can add one pet in the same picture. There will be an additional charge of $30.00.

Q: Can I require pet only?

A: Yes. there will be same price of people please see price list.

Q: I don't have good picture, can I have my portrait done in person?

A: Yes. absolutely! We will, however, need to arrange a good time for you to come to the artist's studio or for the artist to travel to your place. A travel cost may need to be negotiated.

How can I be sure that I will be satisfied with my order?

Q: Is it possible for me to see my portrait before it is shipped?

A: Certainly. We will email you the a digital photo of your portrait for final approval.

Q: What is the return policy?

A: If the customer is not satisfied with the portrait, he/she will be fully refunded without any questions. For details, please see the return policy.

What is the process for ordering a portrait and payment?

Q: How long should I wait for my painting?

A: You will get the first sketch by e-mail within 3-5 days after your order is received. Normally we allow 1-3 adjustments (i.e. if you want to change a color). Once we get your final approval, the painting will be completed in 2-3 weeks. We will then ship according to your directions.

Q: How will the completed portrait be sent to the customer?

A: Your painting will be insured and safely posted. We mail to anywhere in the world. All art work is packed in strong and secure post-tubes. For more details, please see shipping information.

Q: How much are the shipping charges?

A: Shipping charges vary by weight, size and delivery time. For detail, see shipping information

Q: How do I make my payment?

A: Major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discovery Cards are acceptable. We also accept Money Orders, Bank Checks or Personal Checks. However a Personal Check payment may defer the work for 7 business days (for clearance). If you want to pay on-line you may also use a PayPal.com account to make your payment.

PayPal is our authorized credit card processor (it is the major credit card processor in the U.S.). You can make a payment this way by just pressing the "Add to shopping cart" button. Your credit card information is absolutely secret and confidential and will be used only for realizing your order.

Q: Do I need to make full payment at the beginning?

A: Yes, full payment is expected at the time you place order. We have a 100% satisfaction and money back guarantee. Please see our return policy for more details. If your order consists of over 10 portraits, we will accept a 50% deposit with the balance due just prior to shipment.

 

Do you offer other services?

A: We do photo enlarging: The file of digital photos should not be greater than 80 Mb. Please contact us if you need photo services. Liang Wei also dose on demand limited edition prints from his past and future original paintings.
